The following RFCA committees consist of Board members and, on certain committees, non-board member volunteers. If you would like to volunteer for any committee or start a new committee, please contact us.
As a National Register Historic District Community, the architectural committee is responsible for evaluating and approving applications to exterior changes to properties with reference to the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Properties.
Events and Holiday Committee
This committee organizes social events throughout the year as well as holiday related activities. Members of this committee also serve as judges for the Holiday Door Decorating Contest.
External Affairs Committee
This committee works coordinates with Baltimore County agencies, local elected officials, and surrounding organizations and institutions on a range of issues affecting our community. Representatives from this committee also represent RFCA at the Greater Towson Council of Community Associations. www.gtcca.org
The Newsletter Committee coordinates production of the RFCA Newsletter.
Social Media Committee
The Social Media Committee manages the RFCA website, RFCA Facebook page, and other matters relating electronic and web-based communication.
Green Rodgers Forge Committee
Green RF works to educate residents about the benefits and importance of street trees to the neighborhood, and works with Baltimore County and non-profit organizations to identify opportunities to plant new street trees and discourage tree removal where it is unnecessary. They are also responsible for mowing and landscaping of community common areas.
The Welcoming Committee is responsible for reaching out to new residents who move into Rodgers Forge and provide them with a welcome basket. If you are new to the neighborhood or see someone new moving in, please contact the Committee with their address, even if you don’t know their name.
