Safety & Security
Rodgers Forge has a reputation as a very safe community, in part due to an active and effective Citizens On Patrol group of volunteers who enjoy good relations with the local police. At its best, a Citizens On Patrol group involves ordinary people living in the area keeping their eyes and ears open as well as actual patrols conducted by C.O.P. members. Residents are always best placed to observe and to notice when something seems out of place.
Citizens are encouraged to do the following if they see or hear anything suspicious:
Call the Police on 911 for emergencies or 410-887-2222 for non-emergencies.
Don’t take the situation on yourself; it may be dangerous.
Citizens On Patrol and the Crime Alert Network
The Rodgers Forge C.O.P. consists of dedicated volunteers, co-led by John and Karen Falconer and Rob Williams. Learn more and sign up for alerts by visiting their website and their Facebook page.
